Boy disobeys uniform law by wearing a Skirt

A 12-year-old boy has worn a skirt to teaches in objection at his school's uniform policy which forbids shorts

Chris Whitehead says being made to wear stretched trousers in summer while girls can wear skirts is "prejudiced". The youngster rented his 11-year-old sister Joanna's uniform to wear to Impington Village College, near Cambridge, to gain favor for his cause.

Around 30 fellow students waved placards describing, "Cool shorts, not hot pants", "Shorts for the long-standing" and "What's wrong with my legs?"

"In the summer, girl fellows are permitted to wear skirts but boys are not permissible to wear shorts," said the aspiring politician, from Histon, near Cambridge.

"I considered short skirts are permitted but shorts are not, which signifies there is something incorrect in the regulations and it should be altered. I considered I could use this ridiculous ambiguity to my benefit.

Wearing shorts is comfortable because it keeps us cooler, particularly at the time because the weather presently has been actually hot. Chris desires head teacher Robert Campbell to fragment the rule made during a discussion on the school's uniform in 2009. Mum Liz is supporting her son's movement:

"I am very happy that Chris is taking action on what he considers in, which the school really heartens, so he is only doing what he has been educated.

I feel proud he is daring enough to wear a skirt to school for what he thinks in and back him all the way."

Mr. Campbell said this is not the first time the matter has highlighted during summer months. At last the boys can wear a skirt to school because it doesn't speak they can't in the uniform policy and we would be differentiating against them if we did not permit it.

Chris is a very intelligent and fluent student and we have obtained a very strong student council. He is one of simply two year eight students on it."
Chris says he aims to carry on wearing the setup.
