Ryder Cup of 2018 would be held at France



The 2018 Ryder Cup will be held at Le Golf National on the suburbs of Versailles near Paris, authorities declared Tuesday.

Ryder Cup Europe executives conducted a competition in which France, Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain required to be the multitude country for the 42nd Ryder Cup.

France succeeded with Le Golf National, "a remarkable' stadium' course, which has obtained high admire over the previous two decades," a Ryder Cup Europe release said. The course will be the spot of golf's French Open next month for the 10th following year.

The option of France for the worldwide completion will stain the first time since 1997 that the Ryder Cup, a competition between teams from the America and Europe, will be determined on the European Continent. 

Ryder Cup Europe said the commanding places were evaluated on standard including facilities, roads to conduct a world-class sporting occasion and "viable prospects existing to the Ryder Cup."

The biennial competition started in 1927 as a tournament between the America and the UK. Ireland was further to the Great Britain team for 1973, '75 and '77 and the team was extended to include all of Europe in 1979. It controlled to even-numbered years in 2002.

Europe succeeded the 2010 tournament 14 1/2-13 1/2. The America has won the event 25 times while Europe has eight headings and Great Britain three. There have been two depicts.

The 2012 Ryder Cup is programmed for Medinah Country Club in Illinois while the 2014 cup was prized to Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland and the 2016 edition is to be played at Chaska, Minn.
