Female teacher suspended 'over involvement in a student'


A Female teacher has been suspended from her job after being alleged with having a wrong relationship with a student.

Suzanne Harrison, director of the Suffolk One sixth form centre, faces three blames relating to sexual actions with a student aged under 16.

The suspected victim was a girl taught by Harrison at a previous school.
The 35-year-old taught geography at Otley College in Colchester before shifting to the Ipswich centre.

She come into sight at South East Suffolk Magistrates' Court yesterday and was freed on bail to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on July 28.

She had earlier been alleged with three counts of being an adult who exploited a position of confidence by involving in sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 17 but these allegations were modified.

One count engages sexual attack of a child involving diffusion, said to have occurred near Sudbury in January 2006.

A spokesman for Suffolk One said: ''We can verify that a worker was instantly suspended on July 8, 2011, when an accusation came to light.''
