THE GREEN BAY PACKERS WIN SUPER BOWL 45! (HIGHLIGHTS)

I guess Lil' Wayne's "Green And Yellow" Anthem may have gave them that extra boost they needed because after 14 long years, the silver trophy named for the legendary Green Bay Packers coach will make its way back up Lombardi Avenue after the Packers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 31-25, Sunday night in Super Bowl XLV. They had to hold off a furious rally, too, as the Steelers nearly pulled off the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history.

These Packers, though, are resilient. They've known that all year long.

"I'm just so very, very proud of these guys on this team,"
said Packers GM Ted Thompson.

"They stood up when everybody thought they were down. They never quit trying.
They never quit believing."

"It was the great resolve of our football team,"
McCarthy added.

"Just a tremendous effort."

That effort, in front of 91,060 fans at Cowboys Stadium, included suffering through two huge injuries in the first half when the Packers lost cornerback Charles Woodson to a broken collarbone and receiver Donald Driver to a high ankle sprain. With those two out of the game, the Steelers took advantage and turned a 21-3 deficit into a nail-biter.

But the Packers were no strangers to dealing with injuries after surviving a season with 15 players and six projected starters on injured reserve. They got just enough offense out of MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who finally escaped the shadow of Brett Favre by lighting up the NFL's No. 1 defense for 304 yards and three touchdowns.

Then the Packers' underrated defense sealed their fourth Super Bowl title and 13th NFL championship overall by stopping Ben Roethlisberger's attempt at a historic final drive when his fourth-down pass fell incomplete with 49 seconds to play.

"It's a dream come true,"
said Rodgers, who grew up in Northern California.

"It's what I dreamt about as a little kid watching Joe Montana and Steve Young."

Rodgers played like his idols through most of the postseason and didn't disappoint in the Super Bowl either, where he completed 24 of 39 passes, including nine for 140 yards and a touchdown to Jordy Nelson. The Packers came out firing and never stopped, passing on 42 of their 55 plays.

"We put this game on his shoulders,"
McCarthy said.

"He delivered."

Rodgers kept delivering too, even after losing Driver (two catches, 28 yards) and even after the Steelers started chipping away at the Packers' lead. By halftime, the Steelers had pulled within 11 points, 21-10, and the Packers were reeling without Driver, Woodson and cornerback Sam Shields (shoulder).

Eminem Makes Millions For Super Bowl Commercials - Watch Them BOTH here!

This Chrysler commercial, which cost almost $9 million dollars to produce, is one of the most expensive ever produced in Super Bowl history.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Eminem would be featured as an animated Claymation figure in a commercial for Lipton Brisk Iced Tea during Super Bowl XLV, where advertising spots are selling for upwards of $3 million dollars for :30 seconds.

The news of two Eminem commercials being aired during Super Bowl XLV underscores Hip-Hop music's status as the dominant music of choice for the NFL this year.

Find Out Why The Black Eyed Peas Fans Are Furious About Their Super Bowl Half-Time Performance

So the B.E.P. fans were furious about their halftime performace, why? Not because they looked like they were aliens invading our country, but because...........they did not get paid!

In fact, most acts that perform at the Super Bowl aren't paid to do so, according to Forbes.

The reason? These groups stand to gain a lot more from the exposure alone. Last year, a record 106.5 million viewers tuned in to the Super Bowl, and this year's game is expected to exceed that.

“The platform that these artists are given can’t be replicated,”
said Paul Swangard, managing director of the University of Oregon’s Warsaw Sports Marketing Center, one of multiple experts who confirmed to Forbes that halftime performances are unpaid.
“It’s a basic financial equation. What would you have to do as a band to have a conversation with a third of the country? I think the arrangement makes a lot of sense.”

BANNED SUPER BOWL ADS 2011!

Just like we’re seeing advertisers trot out Super Bowl ads before the big game, we’re also seeing an increase in the number of ‘Banned’ ads make their Web appearance.

In the past, only a few companies or groups would announce that they were “rejected” by the NFL or network broadcasting the game, but with the availability and wide audiences on YouTube and other video sites, viewers can watch these “banned” ads and the vendors can get their message across without having to pay for the estimated $3 million for 30 seconds price tag of a Super Bowl ad.

For example, already this year we've found five ads from companies or groups that have claimed that their ads were rejected for the Super Bowl - and the resulting publicity from those announcements have generated more than 843,000 views on YouTube alone - and that's just for the 'official' videos - not others embedding or copying the videos for their own channels or videos

Of course, the folks at GoDaddy.com have turned the ‘banned’ ad into an art form. Since 2005, the company has been submitting ads that have sometimes been “rejected” or “too hot for TV.” The company then puts the rejected ads on their own Web sites, and the ones that get approved for the game then ask viewers to head to the Web site to watch the “banned” ones.

This year is no exception – check out some of the "banned" ads below.....

GO DADDY "BANNED" SUPER BOWL AD:

JESUS HATES OBAMA:

According to this Huffington Post article, Fox rejected an ad from the Jesus Hates Obama Web site (a conservative comedy site). The ad features a Jesus bobble-head and President Obama bobble-head looking at each other, with the Obama bobble-head eventually falling into a fishbowl. The ad then touts the merchandise on its Web site.

ASHLEY MADISON:

The web site, which encourages married people to have affairs, claims that their 2011 Super Bowl ad was rejected by Fox.

PETA:

PETA has posted on its official YouTube channel this ad, which may or may not be one that actually got rejected by Fox. This ad is a “behind the scenes” audition sequence for the group’s 2010 ad, which was rejected by NBC.

JOHN 3:16 SUPER BOWL COMMERCIAL:

It’s not just sex that gets broadcasters nervous. Religion advertising is getting some attention too. Fox rejected thIis ad on the basis that it contained “religious doctrine”, says the Fixed Point Foundation on its YouTube site.
