Recently bikini photos of the 63 year old actress appeared in the Daily Mail as she was vacationing in Italy and I have to say I am ashamed at the fact Dame Helen Mirren has better abs then I do! The photos have set the internet on fire and have people looking at her in an all new light.
Helen is an incredibly talented actress who has has an impressive resume of films including recent releases RED, Arthur, Raising Helen and The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Maybe it is because I am getting older but I find it refreshing that it is no longer taboo somehow that older women be considered sex symbols. Times are a changing when Helen Mirren at 60 looks better than many starlets half her age.
In related news Transformers 3 producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura has confirmed that a sequel to RED which Helen Mirren was one of the stars of has been greenlit. The producer told MTV news that the scriptis complete and they are just looking to put it all together.
Di Bonaventura also says that they intend to reunite the original cast which includes Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren and John Malkovich.
RED which was nominated for a Golden Globe was directed by Robert Schwentke. After trading in his professional past as a black-ops CIA operative for a new identity, Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) is basking in normality. But he’s forced to return to old habits when an assassin puts a target on his back and goes after the woman (Mary-Louise Parker) he loves. Helen Mirren and John Malkovich co-star as former members of Frank’s team who reluctantly reassemble to save his life.
