A senior Official of Ministry of women’s affairs told, that almost 4,000 incidents of hostility were happened in nine months of the last year.
She has strongly criticized over a stoning incident of a newly-married couple in northern Kunduz province and a rape incident in western central province.
Deputy Women's Affairs Minister Palwasha Kakar told to the local media that we have identified that whoever behind such criminal acts will not be secured by sentence. She said violence based incidents are generally took place thereby lack of information about the women’s rights, mandatory marriages, so called traditions, weaknesses in law implications and the security confrontation.
More than 2,400 cases of women's violence had been reported from the capital Kabul and the remaining violence cases were occurred in different areas of other provinces.

Some Afghan parliamentarians criticized that the Women's Affairs Ministry is not able to protect women's rights. Ms Nilofar, an Afghan MP said, "They should have a sober approach and they must take to the streets to defend women's rights.
