US advises Egypt to support International Agreements

On Monday the United States put pressure on Egyptian future leadership to respect existing agreements to formulate peace process as the Muslim Brotherhood joining talks on the Arab nation’s political move.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs promised that Washington would be an ally of the Egyptian government but he informed that we would expect from our partner to honor of those agreements and responsibilities which they had made by the  the government of Egypt, and eventually  the Egyptian nation.

Egypt has played a vital role in the Middle East peace procedure, becoming the first Arab country to officially recognize Israel with a peace accord which was signed in 1979. But the historic agreement has been harshly condemned by the Muslim Brotherhood. Omar Suleiman Egyptian vice president tried to decrease the tension of anti-government protests by inviting many opposition groups for dialogue and give them suggestions for democratic reforms. But the opposition parties including Muslim Brotherhood rejected the proposals and said we will not part in any session whenever the president Hosni Mubarak must step down or immediately transfer his power to the vice president.  Since the beginning day of protest, Israel and USA biggest partners in the region have concerned worries that the militants could snatch power in Cairo, by this the peace agreement could be affected and destabilize the geopolitical map. In Jerusalem, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a speech that the international community should take assurance from the new Egyptian government for respecting peace agreement with Israel.

US President Obama told to the journalist positive progress would be made amongst the troubles in Egypt, certainly they have to talk for a way to make progress. Notwithstanding the US administration has not been in touch with the Muslim Brotherhood, reminding important treaties with the stronghold radical group that has long been legitimately expelled from Egyptian politics. The protestors, who have set aside two weeks of anti-government demonstration demanding Mubarak’s ouster were not overwhelmed by the recent talks and have promised to continue their vigil in Cairo’s Tahrir Square. The elements which they have not represented to current government want to become a part of these discussions, Gibbs said.

Some western experts have deeply concerned that the Brotherhood could come into the power which is representing insurgents group consequently it may become a cause to destroy the relationship with the US. A US defense official said, “It will be firmed by the Egyptian people. Admiral Michael Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who spoke on the telephone over the weekend with Egyptian armed forces chief of staff, General Sami Enan. From the last three decades Mubarak has been played a vital role in regional diplomacy arbitrating between the Israelis and the rest of Arab world, especially in the Palestinian.

Hosni Mubarak who is enjoying power from the last three decades has denied to immediately resigning but declared last week he would not participate in upcoming presidential elections in September.
