Searching of drug gangs in Mexico through US drones



The Mexican government says that US has dispatched unarmed drones over Mexico since February sharing intelligence on key drug cartels.
The drone flights were sent at Mexico’s call and were controlled by the Mexican air force and other agencies.
The flights were made at Mexico's request and were supervised by the Mexican air force and other agencies. It is recent symbol that US is taking interest in Mexico's campaign against brutal drugs gangs. The government of Mexico said the operations had been going on after they were exposed by the New York Time newspaper.
Most of the drone flights have been flown over northern boarder areas, where at least 34,000 drugs abused related deaths were made. According to the report New York Times the operation had been reserved due to Mexican lawful reservation and sensitivities over dominion. In a statement, Mexico's National Security Council said the high-altitude flights had been carried out with "open respect" for Mexican law. In a statement they said, the operations are always started with the consent care and effective management of national agencies, including the Mexican Air Force. The targets of watch were set by the Mexican officials, and that information collected had been "mostly valuable".
Quoting to the unnamed US Official the New York Times said that the drones had collected intelligence that guided to the arrest in Mexico of various believes in linking with the murder of a US immigration agent, Jaime Zapata.
Both the U.S. and Mexican presidents were mainly agreed to continue the observation flights flights during talks in Washington on 3 March.
According to the Wikileakes wires which had been published by the Guardian newspaper in previous December, the US Ambassador to Mexico, Carlos Pascual, made a critical sketch of the Mexican security forces, and pointed out how could president Calderon win his war against drugs. Under the Mexican law the law enforcement agencies can operate limited and extreme condition. The US and Mexico have reached on a closer understanding approach because of common threat of drug violence.
