Tunisia's key ministers refrain from Bin Ali's RCD Party

Two foremost ministers in the Government of Tunisia have given up the political party which has been established by former president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. The former president had run away from the country last week as result of strong street protest by Tunisians.

A new agreed government setup was declared on Monday but protests did not stop because they thought the new government comprises upon old faces and a democratic change could not be occurred on these existing politicians. They insist for democratic change Bin Ali’s companions will have to push out from the present setup.

According the state news agency, Mohamed Ghannouchi, Prime minister and interim Fouad Mebazaa, President and the ex-speaker of the lower house of the Parliament, have both relinquish the RCD party in an effort for showing opponents of former president Ben Ali.

The first joint session of the new interim government would be held on Thursday.
