The Arab League has supported the idea of a no-fly zone over Libya as the activists continue to be pressed back by the Qaddafi forces.
In a special agreed meeting in Cairo it was requested to the UN Security Council to enforce the current crises finished. The UK and France have put up the idea, but have not succeeded due to solid supporting from the EU or Nato.
In the mean time the Libyan rebel forces have faced new losses including the mail oil port of Ras Lanuf and the rebels front line had been pushed back towards the area of Ujala.
According to the report of Cairo meeting, the Arab League vote for a no-fly zone was contrasted only by Syria and Algeria. Earlier Nato has wanted support for the idea from the regional countries.
The US appreciated the League’s decision saying, it would be beneficial for putting up pressure on Qaddafi and gaining support from the Libyan people. Earlier Robert Gates had said that it was not still clear whether it was the correct policy. " Mr Gates reportedly told reporters on a US Military plane after a visit to Bahrain, we can make it, the question is whether it's a correct decision to do and that's the discussion that's going on at a political level,
Russia has used its veto power on the UN Security Council on this issue due to great reservation. On Friday EU leaders in Brussels also have withdrawal support shortly, saying they are evaluating all the linked option to safe the civilian.
The policy had been designed to prevent Col. Qaddafi forces for air strikes and heavy equipment at the civilian people, though no obvious position has been adopted for achieving the object. The ground reality is that rebel forces are losing territories in front of higher equipment power of Qaddafi forces. The new attack has been made by the Qaddafi forces on rebel only one controlled area Misrata. The Misrata is bigger city than Zawiya and has the population of about 300,000 people and there is a greater risk of bloodshed existed. In its fresh attack the Qaddafi forces are pushing back to the rebels near Ujala and Brega, the Reuters report says.
The pan-Arab al-Jazeera TV channel said one of its cameramen had been killed in the fighting near Benghazi, which is the main rebel-held city. The condition in the city is remained insolent, many injured rebellious have come back and the residents are evacuating the area.
